Austria 10 Euro 2018 Angel Uriel Proof Coloured

This is the fourth and last coin from the series of Austrian 10 Euro coins which have as their theme the Heavenly Message. This fourth coin has as its theme the æAngel UrielÆ. The Angel Uriel is also called the æAngel of LightÆ. Uriel literally means "God is light". Because Uriel is not mentioned explicitly in the old or new testaments, he is not recognized by the Roman Catholic Church. What is special is that both the Jews and Islam recognise Archangel Uriel. According to tradition, Uriel advised Noah to build his Ark. Uriel is often depicted with a burning sword or with flaming hands to protect the dead. He often appears when the need is greatest. On the face of the coin is an image of a decorated bowl containing a burning fire. Around this image is the letter U of Uriel around which is an ornament of leaves. In the outer ring of this copper coin is the country name Republik Oesterreich (Republic of Austria) and the value indication of 10 Euro. On the reverse of the coin Archangel Uriel is portrayed. This image is based on a stained glass window which is to be found installed in St. Mary's Church in Mortehoe, England. A young Uriel is portrayed with the sun in his hand. His wings are represented as the petals of a Sunflower. Remarkably, the leafy ornament on the front of the coin is coloured yellow. This is the colour of the sun, indicating the colour of the Angel Uriel explicitly.
