Product Description

The Salzburger Festspiele is a festival that is held annually, from 20th July to 30th August, in the Austrian city of Salzburg. More than 200 concerts are given during the Salsburger Festspiele. The festival was officially opened for the first time in 1920 and every year the festival opens with 'Jedermann', a play by Hugo von Hofmannsthal. This concert is always the first to be sold out! In total there are three large venues, with the large Festspielhaus accommodating more than 2,200 people! The coin has the shape of a plate! On the face of the coin are images of two masks and a violin. The text 'Salzburger Festspiele' and the years 1920 and 2020 are shown at the bottom of the coin. On the reverse of the coin two masks are also shown. The text 'Republik Österreich' (Republic of Austria) and the value indication of 20 Euro are displayed in italics at the bottom of the coin. This beautiful coin is finished with the red colour of the Austrian flag! The coin is presented in a luxury cassette and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
