Austria 20 Euro 2020 Airbus A380

This is the third coin from the series 'Dream of Flying'. The theme of this coin is 'Travel over the Clouds in an Airbus A380'. An Airbus A380 is the largest passenger plane in the world and can carry up to 853 people. The Airbus A380 weighs no less than 421 metric tons. The fuselage of the aircraft is 7.15 metres wide and 8.40 metres high, which means that there are two passenger decks in this aircraft. The Airbus A380 needs three kilometres of runway to land safely! This aircraft is therefore unable to land at many airports. On the face of the coin is an Airbus A380 which is preparing to land. In the background part of an airport with a control tower is shown. Around the outside of the coin is part of a navigation display. At the bottom of the coin is the text 'AIRBUS A380'. The reverse of the coin features a British twin-engine Vickers VC1 propeller plane. Furthermore, both the Statue of Liberty and the Golden Gate Bridge are depicted. The country name 'Republik Österreich' is displayed in an arc at the top of the coin. The value indication of 20 Euro and the year of issue, 2020, are shown at the bottom of the coin. The coin is supplied with a certificate of authenticity and is presented in the standard deluxe cassette.
