Product Description
Austria 3 Euro 2021 Deinonychus Antirrhopus. The Deinonychus Antirrhopus (terrible claw) is a carnivorous dinosaur. The Deinonychus Antirrhopus comes from the group of the Dromaeosaurids, which were closely related to the birds of prey known today. An adult Deinonychus Antirrhopus was ten feet long and weighed about 60 kilos. The Deinonychus Antirrhopus climbed high into the trees before gliding down, attacking their prey from above. With their sickle claws they grabbed their unsuspecting prey and literally tore them apart. In addition, the Deinonychus Antirrhopus could also move incredibly fast on land reaching speeds of up to 60 kilometres per hour! In short - a predator that used different hunting techniques and executed them with great delicacy. On the face of the coin a Deinonychus Antirrhopus is depicted with a Xenoceratops in the background. The year of issue, 2021, is also displayed. The reverse of this series of coins is always the same - images of the dinosaurs in this series of coins is shown. Furthermore, the country name, Republik Österreich (Republic of Austria), and the value indication of 3 Euro are shown encircling these images. The coin is packed in a printed coin holder.
