Austria 3 Euro 2022 'Microraptor'

Austria 3 Euro 2022 coin 'Microraptor'. The Microraptor was a small carnivorous dinosaur belonging to the group 'Eumaniraptora' that lived about 130 million years ago. With a length of less than a metre and a weight of about 1.5 kilos this dinosaur was about the size of a pheasant. The Microraptor could not fly far and often climbed to the top of the trees while flapping. From the top of the trees the Microraptor often made a flight dive to surprise its prey from above. A Microraptor climbing a tree is depicted on the face of the coin. In the background another Microraptor can be seen making a flight dive to attack its prey. Furthermore, the name 'Microraptor' and the year of issue, 2022, are displayed. The reverse of this series of coins is always the same, i.e. an image of the dinosaurs included in the series. Additionally, the text 'Republik Österreich' (Republic of Austria) and the value indication of 3 Euro are shown encircling these images. The coin is packed in a printed coin holder.
