Austria 5 Euro 2020 "Horses" Friends for Life Silver

Austria has issued a 5 Euro coin with the theme 'Friends for life'. To portray friends for life, it was decided to depict a horse with her foal. A mother horse will never leave her foal, often leading to everlasting friendship. A horse lives to 25 - 30 years old on average, and is considered one of the most faithful animals in the world. With a horse you build a bond, you experience pleasure and sorrow which a horse notices. Horses are social animals that naturally live in herds. In herds they feel safe and never alone. On the face of this coin is an image of a horse with its foal galloping through the tall grass. On the left of the coin is the year of issue, 2020. The reverse of all Austrian 5 Euro coins is the same. This silver coin is not round but nine-sided to indicate that Austria has nine provinces, called 'Länder'. The coats of arms of these provinces are depicted on the reverse of the coin. In the centre of the coin is the value indication of 5 Euro. The coin is presented in a beautiful package with a ribbon showing the text 'Frohe Ostern' (Happy Easter).
