Austria 5 Euro 2021 Janus Silver BU

Austria has issued a 5 Euro coin with the theme 'Janus'. Janus is one of the oldest Roman Gods, he is the god of the doorways, and the god of the beginning and of the end. That is why the month of January is named after him - the beginning. The key to happiness was in the hands of Janus which is why on 1st January they gave each other coins portraying Janus. Janus is depicted with a double face, his older face looking back to the past, his youthful face confidently looking forward. The New Year's Coin 2021 encourages all of us to look forward in a good mood. Let our loved ones be the key to happiness and joy! The face of the coin features the double face of Janus, his old face on the left, his young face on the right. Furthermore, a key, within which is the year 2021, is depicted. Additionally, a part of the Temple of Janus is shown. On the reverse of the coin are the nine coats of arms of Austria with the value of 5 Euro in the centre. Furthermore, the country name 'Republik Österreich' (Republic of Austria) is displayed in the outer border. This beautiful coin, as described above, in the quality silver is presented in a luxury package with a banderol. Printed on this banderol is the text 'Prosit 2021'. At the top of the banderol is the logo of the Austrian Mint.
