COMPLETE SERIES Belgium Coincard 1 Franc 1950 - 1988 Dutch + French. For the first time in its history, Belgium has issued a Coincard containing a historic Belgian coin! A 1 Franc coin is mounted in this Coincard. The design of this 1 Franc coin remained unchanged for 38 years! During the reigns of both Prince Charles and King Baudouin I this coin was used as a means of payment. The face of the coin shows Ceres (the Roman Goddess of Agriculture), the Cornucopia (Horn of Plenty) and the year of issue. The reverse shows a crowned oak leaf in between 1 and FR (1 Frank). The coin is mounted in an attractive Coincard and has a mintage of only 2,000 copies. A total of 64 different Coincards were produced - the 1 Franc coin was not minted from 1982 to 1987, and the Belgian 1 Franc (French version) was not minted in 1953 and 1957!
