Belgium 20 Euro 2021 '100 years Roger Raveel'. Belgium 20 Euro 2021 'Roger Raveel'. Roger Raveel was a Belgian painter and designer/maker of art objects. The art objects that Roger Raveel made were often made of ceramics. His abstract works are experienced as timeless and the square shape was often used by him. Roger Raveel was born 100 years ago which is why Belgium has issued a 20 Euro coin with him as its subject. On the face of the coin is a representation of his self-portrait with a square and his name is displayed. The years 1921 and 2021 are also shown on the right. On the reverse of the coin is the map of the European Union. Furthermore, the text 'Belgie - Belgique - Belgien' is shown on the coin, the country name of Belgium in its three official languages i.e. Dutch, French and German. The 12 stars of Europe are also shown. Additionally, the value indication of 20 Euro is shown together with the year of issue, 2021. The mint master's mark and the mint mark are also displayed. The coin is presented in a luxurious ceramic coin holder, manufactured by the Belgian company 'Royal Boch'. Only 2,500 copies of this coin will be minted.
