Belgium BU 2021. The 2021 Belgian BU set has the theme of Liège. Located on the river Maas the city of Liège has almost 200,000 inhabitants and is located at an altitude of approximately 75 metres. Liège is located in the area where the Ardennes flow into the hilly Haspengouw. 'Saint-Paul's Cathedral', whose construction began in the 13th century, and 'Saint-Jacques Church', which began in the 12th century, are the two most historic buildings in the city. Belgium has issued two 2.5 Euro coins in 2021, namely 'The European Championship 2020' and 'Beer Culture'. These coins are also included in this BU set! This means that this 2021 Belgian BU set contains the complete set of euro coins (i. e. the 1 cent coin up to and including the 2 Euro coin) and as an extra no less than two 2.5 Euro coins! Various 2021 coins of Belgium will not come into loose circulation. These Belgian coins were minted in the Netherlands, indicated by the mint master's mark the 'Staff of Mercury', which is shown on all of the coins.
