Belgium BU 2022. The BU set of Belgium 2022 has the theme 'Ghent'. Ghent is the second largest city in Belgium, it is located in the Belgian province of East Flanders and has more than 265,000 inhabitants. Ghent is often referred to as the Flower City, because of the large areas with flower and plant nurseries. The city is known for the 'Belfry', the 'Saint Bavo Cathedral' and 'Het Gravensteen' (a castle from the twelfth century, of which the defence system is still almost intact). Belgium issued two special 2.5 Euro coins in 2022, namely '100 Years of Bird Protection' and '20 Years of the Euro'. These are also included in this BU set of 2022. Thus this Belgian BU set comprises the complete set of Euro coins i.e. the 1 Cent coin up to and including the normal 2 Euro coin, plus the two special 2.5 Euro coins! Various 2022 Belgian Euro coins will not come into circulation separately.
