Cyprus 2 Euro 2020 Institute of Neurology and Genetics Coincard

Cyprus has issued a 2 Euro coin in 2020 with the theme 'Institute of Neurology and Genetics'. This 2020 Cypriot 2 Euro coin was not issued until 2021. Both Genetics and Neurology are particularly complex specialties that require years of study. Neurology is concerned with the treatment of people who have spinal cord, nerve or brain disorders, a very complex area that is still unclear. Genetics is concerned with heredity and the genes of humans. The Institute of Neurology and Genetics in Cyprus has been in existence for 30 years, which is why Cyprus has decided to issue this special 2 Euro coin. On the face of this 2020 Cypriot coin several neurons and synapses are depicted. Furthermore, in the Cypriot language, the text 'Institute of Neurology and Genetics' and 'Cyprus 1990 - 2020' is displayed. The coin is mounted in a Coincard. It is the first time that Cyprus has issued a special 2 Euro coin in a Coincard, the circulation of which is only 6,000 copies.
