Cyprus 5 Euro 2021 'Accession to UNESCO' in 1961. UNESCO was established at the end of World War II, on 16th November, 1945, to ensure lasting peace. UNESCO stands for 'United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization'. UNESCO is committed to, among other things, building peace, reducing poverty, sustainable development and quality education for all. On the face of the coin is a plank-shaped figurine surrounded by a pattern of circular shapes. On the reverse of the coin is the logo of the Bank of Cyprus. The country name Cyprus is displayed in three languages, with the year of issue, 2021, below. The coin is presented in an attractive cassette and is supplied with a certificate of authenticity.
