Cyprus UNC 2021. This is the complete set of 2021 Cypriot Euro coins. The 1, 2 & 5 cent coins depict a Cypriot Mouflon, a type of wild sheep that is in danger of extinction. The ship of Kyrenia is depicted on the 10, 20 & 50 cent coins. Kyrenia's ship was an original freighter that was used 6,000 years ago! It was discovered in Kyrenia which is currently part of Turkish Cyprus. The 1 Euro and 2 Euro coins show an image of the 'Idol of Pomos'. This is a statue that is about 5,000 years old and was supposed to symbolize fertility. Statues are known that vary from a few centimetres to metres in size! On all Cypriot coins, the country name Cyprus is shown in two languages, Turkish and Greek. Of course, the year 2021 is shown on each coin.
