2021 Estonia 2 Euro coin 'De Wolf' (The Wolf). Estonia has issued a 2 Euro coin in 2021 with the theme The Wolf (Canis Lupus) which was originally found all over the world. The Wolf has a bad image for humans, yet normally wolves shun humans. Wolves often come in the form of a Pack (Group), they have not been seen in Belgium and the Netherlands for several hundred years, but they have recently returned to the Netherlands from Germany. Several hundred wolves live in Estonia. The Wolf is officially hunted in the Baltic states (Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia). Where about 300 wolves are killed every year. The farmers in Estonia especially hate Wolves and will kill them to protect their livestock. The face of the coin depicts a wolf howling on a mountaintop with a coniferous forest in the background. Furthermore, the Latin name 'CANIS LUPUS' is displayed. At the bottom of the coin is the country name EESTI (Estonia) and the year of issue, 2021. The coin is packed in a printed coin holder.
