Estonia BU 2018

The BU set of Estonia 2018 has the theme æ100 Years of IndependenceÆ. Estonia declared its independence on 24 February 2018. In the building where this happened, the Eesti Pank, (the Bank of Estonia), is currently located. The beginning of the 20th century was very special, the Russian Revolution had happened and the First World War was over. Estonia became a truly free country until 1940, after which it became a Russian satellite state after World War II. Nevertheless, during this time Estonia kept its own identity with its own language and customs. After the Russians had left Estonia became a truly free country. To commemorate this Estonia has issued this special BU set. 10 different coins are included in this set. These are the complete series of Euro coins from Estonia 2018 supplemented by the two special 2 Euro coins, which have as their themes æ100 Years EstoniaÆ and æ100 Years Baltic IndependenceÆ. The latter coin has been issued by Estonia together with the other Baltic countries Latvia and Lithuania. The edition of this set is extremely low, only 5,000 copies have been issued.
