Product Description

In the context of the celebration of æ100 Years FinlandÆ, the country has issued a beautiful special 2 Euro coin. The theme of this special 2017 Finnish 2 Euro coin is Finnish Nature. A photography contest was organized and the winning photograph was composed by nature photographer Kari Auvinen. He composed the winning picture, a crow on a branch with a full moon in the background, on the island of Harmaja. It's actually a compilation of two photographs, one of the crow on the branch superimposed on the photo of the moon. The crow symbolizes the modern Finnish character: an extremely common and intelligent bird that reacts flexibly to different situations. The image of the crow and the moon appears on the face of the coin. At the bottom of the coin is the year 2017. The letters "FI", the abbreviation of Finland, are shown on the left of the coin, while on the right is a Lion, which is the logo of the Finnish Mint. In the outer ring of the coin are the 12 stars of Europe. The quality of the coin is UNC (Uncirculated) and is heavily silver-plated. The coin is packaged in a plastic coin capsule.
