Finland 2 Euro 2019 '100 years of the Constitution' The Constitution of Finland, which was signed shortly after the declaration of independence in 1917, has been in force since 1919. The Constitution of Finland reflects the Fundamental Rights of the Finnish population and indicates how the Finnish government should be formed. In Finland the president is elected every six years by popular vote! The current president is Sauli Niinistö. Sauli Niinistö received no less than 65.5% of the votes and is rightly allowed to call himself president for six years. The coin shows three partially merged circles representing the legislative, executive and judicial branches of the Finnish government. The coin is presented in a printed coin holder.
