France 2 Euro 2018 Cornflower Proof

France has issued a special coloured 2 Euro coin, in the quality Proof, to commemorate that the First World War ended 100 years ago. The First World War was from 1914 to 1918 and in the year 2018 it is 100 years since the First World War ended. On the coin is a picture of a blue-coloured cornflower. In the background are the contours of the French Flag. The French flag is also called the æDrapeau TricoloreÆ (Tricolour Flag). The French flag has the colours blue, white and red. These are shown vertically. The background of this particular French coin is accented with horizontal stripes for the blue part of the flag and vertical stripes for the red part of the flag. In a circle one can see is the text Le Bleuet de France, Fleur de Mémoire et de Solidarité" (The Cornflower of France, flower of Memory and Solidarity).
