To celebrate this happy fact Monnaie de Paris has decided to issue a special 2 Euro coin every year until 2024 that will depict a famous French person. This 2 Euro 2021 'Olympic Games' features the famous, and running, Marianne. So this is the first coin in a series of four! France won 33 medals at the Tokyo Summer Olympics, consisting of 10 Gold, 12 Silver and 11 Bronze. France hopes to win even more medals in 2024. On the face of this 'Olympic Games' 2 Euro coin Marianne is depicted running, with the Eifel Tower in the background. The Olympic flame and the five Olympic rings are also shown. The coin is packed in a printed coin holder.
