2023 France 2 Euro coincard 'World Cup Rugby 2023'. France has issued a special 2 Euro coin with the theme Rugby World Cup 2023. It is the second time that France has organized the Rugby World Cup, the first time was in 2007. The 2023 Rugby World Cup is the most prestigious rugby tournament in the world and has been taking place since 1987 every four years. It will be held from 8th September to 28th October, 2023. The tournament will take place in different cities, such as Lille, Nice, Paris and Toulouse. Favourite for the tournament is South Africa, which also won the tournament in 2019. On the face of the coin a stylized rugby player is depicted with a ball in his hand. Under his feet the globe is depicted. Furthermore, the text COUPE DU MONDE RUGBY (Rugby World Cup) and the country name FRANCE (France) are shown. Finally, the year of issue, 2023, is displayed. The coin is mounted in a Coincard and has an edition of 10,000 copies.
