France 9 x 10 Euro 2022 'Asterix'. France is going to issue a series of coins which consists of 18 coins i.e. two times 9 coins. The subject of the coins is Asterix and these are the first 9 coins. These 10 Euro coins are all different and each coin has a different topic and its own image. Nine coins from this series are coloured whilst the other nine are not coloured. The first part consists of 4 coloured coins and 5 non-coloured coins. Asterix is a French comic book series starring Asterix and his great friend Obelix. Asterix was created by the French artist Albert Uderzo and writer René Goscinny. The series has been released worldwide and translated into more than 100 different languages. The series is set in the village of Gaul which, with the help of a magic potion, was the only village to resist the invasion of Julius Caesar. This potion makes the Gauls super-strong and invincible. Asterix, Obelix and the dog Idefix take centre stage in the many episodes. More than 60 years ago, on 29th October, 1959, the very first episode of Asterix appeared. Each coin is mounted in its own unique packaging!
