France BU Mini-set 2021 - 2022 . France has changed its coin design for both the 1 Euro coin and the 2 Euro coin. It has been 20 years since the Euro was introduced and, after 13 years, France will once again become the President of the Council of the European Union. These two major events led France to change their coin design. The new design is based on the old design, both designs depict the tree of life in front of a broad shield. The tree of life consists of an olive branch which symbolizes peace, and of an oak branch which stands for permanence. Furthermore, the motto of France - Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité (Liberty, Equality and Fraternity) is reproduced. All coins display the Mint Sign 'Cornucopia' and the mark of Mint master Joaquin Jimenez (which is a square embossed with the initials J.J. and two rhinoceros horns). The country designation 'RF' (République Française) is shown at the bottom together with the years of issue, 2021 and 2022. This BU Mini-set sold out in no time!
