Product Description

These are four different 2017 German coins from the Karlsruhe mint. They are the 2017 German 1, 2, 5 and 10 Cent coins. In Germany there are five mints indicated by a letter struck on the coins, these are Berlin = A, Munich = D, Stuttgart = F, Karlsruhe = G and Hamburg = J. These four coins have the "G" of Karlsruhe. On the 1,2 & 5 cent coins an oak branch with leaves is depicted with two acorns to the right side. At the bottom of the coin to the right of the branch is the year 2017. To the left of the year the mint letter is struck, in this case a "G". On the 10 Cent coin is an image of the Brandenburger Tor (Brandenburg Gate) which is in Berlin. Built in the year 1788 it is more than 26 metres high and more than 65 metres wide. Until the fall of the wall the Brandenburg Gate was just in the Russian Sector, formerly East Berlin, and could only be seen from a distance. Now you can, of course, walk underneath. Nearby you can still see stripes in the street where the Wall once stood. At the bottom of the coin is the year 2017 centred below which is the mint letter "G", that is to say that the coin was struck in Karlsruhe. In the outer ring of the coin are the 12 stars of Europe. The quality of the coins is UNC (Uncirculated).
