Germany 20 Euro 2019 The Brave Little Tailor

This is the eighth coin from the series of coins that have the theme the Fairy Tales of the Brothers Grimm. These fairy tales have been on the UNESCO World Document List since 2005. The theme of this special 20 Euro coin of the year 2019 is 'The brave little tailor'. The brave little tailor finds a solution for everything. To marry the King's daughter he must defeat two giants who terrorize the forest, catch a flying unicorn and capture a wild boar. Naturally, the brave little tailor succeeds and he can marry the daughter of the king. The King's daughter doesn't like this and asks the King if he would free her from the brave little tailor. The King's servants must bring the brave little tailor on board a ship at night, but the brave Little Tailor pretends to talk in his sleep. He talks about the giants, the unicorn and the wild boar. The servants become so afraid of the brave little tailor that they dare not scare him away. Because of this the brave little tailor remains king for life. On the face of the coin the brave little tailor is depicted wearing a crown on his head. His castle is displayed in the background. Of course, he has his scissors in his hand. At the bottom of the coin is the text 'Grimms Märchen' (Grimm's fairytales). On the reverse of the coin is the country name - Bundesrepublik Deutschland, along with the 12 stars of Europe. The value indication of 20 Euro and the Silver content of 925/1000 is also displayed. The coin is packed in a printed coin holder.
