Product Description

'The Wolf and the Seven Goats' is a fairy tale written by the Brothers Grimm. The fairy tale is about a mother goat who goes to the forest to get food. She indicates that the kids must not open the door for anyone because there is a dangerous wolf in the forest. The wolf can be recognized by his loud voice and a black leg. The wolf finally gets in because the miller has made his black leg white with flour. The wolf finds six out of seven goats, only the goat that has hidden in the clock manages to escape. Mother goat later finds the wolf in the forest and she cuts open the wolf's belly to find that all the goats are still alive. The mother goat puts stones in the wolf's belly so he doesn't notice anything. When the wolf wants to drink from the well, he falls over and drowns because of the weight of the stones. The seven goats and mother goat make a joyful dance around the well. On the face of the coin is an image of the wolf attacking the seven goats. Written in circle around the image is the text 'Der Wolf und die sieben Geißlein', (the wolf and the seven goats) and 'GrimmÆs Märchen' (Grimm's Fairy Tale). Shown on the reverse of the coin is the text 'Bundes republik Deutschland' (Federal Republic of Germany) together with the value indication of 20 Euro. The famous German Eagle is centred on the coin. The coin is made of Sterling Silver (925) which is indicated under the eagle (silber 925). The coin is packed in a printed coin holder.
