The German Children's Fund consists solely of private funds and donations and has 30 employees who are responsible for upholding children's rights. The German Children's Fund was founded 50 years ago, which is why Germany has decided to issue a special 20 Euro coin with this as its subject. On the face of the coin is the symbol of the German Children's Fund and the text '50 JAHRE DEUTSCHE KINDER HILFSWERK' is displayed. On the reverse of the coin is the text 'Bundesrepublik Deutschland' (Federal Republic of Germany), the value of 20 Euro is also displayed along with the year of issue, 2022.
