Germany 20 Euro 2022 'Rumpelstiltskin'. Germany has issued a 20 Euro coin with Rumpelstiltskin, written by the Brothers Grimm, as its subject. Once upon a time there was a miller who claimed that her daughter could do anything - even spin gold from straw. The king hears this story and kidnaps the miller's daughter and gives her one night to spin gold from straw. The miller's daughter couldn't do anything, but that night she meets a man who is willing to do it for her in exchange for her necklace. The daughter has to make several promises with the male and finally offers her unborn child. When a baby is finally born the male comes to claim the child. The miller's daughter finally has to guess the name of the little man, who reveals his name while singing 'Nobody knows, nobody knows, that my name is Rumpelstiltskin'. On the face of the coin Rumpelstiltskin is depicted along with his name 'RUMPELSTILZCHEN' (Rumpelstiltskin). The text 'GRIMMS MÄRCHEN' is also shown. On the reverse of the coin is the text 'Bundesrepublik Deutschland' (Federal Republic of Germany). The value indication of 20 Euro and the year of issue, 2022, are also shown. The famous eag le is centred on the coin. The coin is made of Sterling Silver which is shown under the eagle (Silber 925). The coin is packed in a printed coin holder.
