2023 Germany 20 Euro coin 'Bertolt Brecht'. Bertolt Brecht was one of the most famous German writers / poets. He wrote both poems and novels, but has also written many film scripts in his career. He was born in 1898 in Augsburg. His greatest international success was the opera piece 'Dreigroschenoper' (Threepenny Opera). He was a communist sympathizer and, because he was wanted in Germany, he had to flee abroad in 1933 and lived in Denmark, Finland, Sweden and the United States.
