Product Description

This is the second coin from the German five-part series of five Euro coins that have as their subject the Earth's Climate zones. This series of coins with a coloured ring will be issued in the years 2017 up to and including 2021. The colours of the rings are as follows: 2017 = red, 2018 = orange, 2019 = green, 2020 = turquoise and 2021 = purple. The 2018 German 5 Euro has as its theme the Subtropical Zone and has an Orange ring. The Subtropical zone (also called Subtropics) can be found on the earth above and below the Tropical zone. The Subtropical zone is characterized by a tropical summer and a mild winter. On the face of the coin some goats are depicted in the shadow of a typical tree of the Subtropical zone whose crown has the shape of an umbrella. At the bottom of the coin is the text Subtropical Zone (in German). The reverse side of this series of coins is the same. In the centre of the coin is the Bundeskeller (German eagle) above the head of which is the mint's location letter. The coin struck in five different places and this is shown by the mint letter and the colour of the Orange ring. We deliver the mint letter of our choice with a loose coin. At the bottom of the coin the year 2018 is shown. In the outer ring of the coin is the country name Bundesrepublik Deutschland (Federal Republic of Germany). Furthermore, the value indication of 5 Euro is shown, with the 12 stars of Europe unevenly distributed around it. Additionally, the Orange ring is immediately visible. This is made of the material Polymer. Printed around the edge of the coin is æKLIMAZONEN DER ERDEÆ (Climate zones of the Earth).
