Greece 6 Euro 2020 Establishment of Radio Broadcaster

Greece has issued a 6 Euro coin with the theme 'National Radio Foundation'. The era of this radio began on 16th July, 1945 when the EIR was founded. Radio is one of the most important sources of communication in Greece and, besides music and advertising, it is a medium where all current affairs and events are disseminated. Especially during elections all radio broadcasters are deployed en masse. On the face of the coin a microphone is shown with headphones on it. Furthermore, different sound waves, which allows sound to spread, are seen on the coin. On the reverse of the coin is a transmission tower with the coloured coat of arms of Greece in the centre. Additionally, the value of 6 Euro is shown at the top of the coin. The coin is presented in a beautiful case and is supplied with a certificate of authenticity. The circulation of this coin is only 1,200 copies.
