Greece UNC 2021

This is the 2021 UNC set of Greece. The Greek 1, 2 & 5 cent coins have the theme of the Greek bond with the sea. On the Greek 1 cent coins an ancient Greek warship, a Trireme, is depicted. On the Greek 2 Cent coins is an image of a Corvette, a warship that was used during the independence struggle of the Greeks against the Turks. A modern tanker is depicted on the Greek 5 cent coins. On the 10 cent coins of Greece is an image of Rigas Fereos (1757 -1798), a writer and politician who, in his time, was a champion of the liberation of the Balkans and Greece. On the 20 cent coin is an image of Ioannis Kapodistrias. He was a Count and Diplomat and was the first head of state of independent Greece from the Ottoman era. On the 50 cent coin is an image of Eleftherios Venizelos who was the most important Greek statesman of the early 20th century. The Owl of Athens is depicted on the 1 Euro coin. This Owl was first depicted on Greek coins over 2,500 years ago! The princess Europa is depicted astride a cow on the 2 Euro coin. Zeus fell in love with her and turned himself into a cow and kidnapped her. Various coins of Greece 2021 will not come into circulation separately.
