Netherlands BU 2021 Day of the Mint set. The theme of the Dutch 2021 'Day of the Mint' set is farewell to the 'Gulden' (Guilders). Until 2001 it was possible to pay in the Netherlands with Guldens - from 1st January 2002 the Euros were introduced in Europe. 31st December, 2001 was therefore the last legal day for using, among other things, the 1 Gulden. The first 1 Gulden was minted in 1818 and showed the portrait of King Willem I. This was the first coin with the edge lettering * GOD * ZIJ * MET * ONS * (God be with us). This edge lettering is still used today on the Dutch Euro coins. In memory of the Gulden, a medal is packed in this 2021 Day of the Mint set. The complete series of 2021 Dutch Euro coins is packed in this set. The edition of this beautiful set is equal in number to the year i.e. 2021 copies and each set has a unique number.
