Ireland 15 Euro 2022 'Dr Kathleen Lynn'. Kathleen Florence Lynn was an Irish physician and politician. Kathleen Lynn was so badly affected by disease and poverty that she decided at an early age to become a doctor to help the poor and sick. She studied at the Royal University of Ireland and graduated in 1899. She then left for the United States for 10 years and returned in 1910, becoming the first female physician at the Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital. Dr Kathleen Lynn was loved by all Irish people, she died at the age of 81 and is still seen today as the woman who loved everyone. On the face of the coin is an image of Dr Kathleen Lynn with a number of assistants in the background who each hold a new-born child.
