Italy 2 Euro 2020 The Fire Department

Italy has issued a € 2 coin with the Fire Department as its theme. The Italian fire brigade is known in Italian as 'Corpo nationale dei vigili del fuoco'. The Italian fire brigade that we now know was founded on 28th February 1939, the fire brigades fight fires, help people in need and assist with accidents. In addition, they are also called up for all other kinds of national emergencies. The Italian Fire Service has been around for more than 80 years. On this coin the logo of the Italian fire brigade is depicted. The text "Corpo nationale dei vigili del fuoco" (The National Fire Department) is written in an arc around the logo. Dr letters 'RI' stand for Repubblica Italiana (Italy) and the letter 'R' stands for the Roman mint. To the right is the year of issue, 2020. This coin is packed in a printed coin holder.
