Product Description
Italy has issued three 5 Euro coins with the theme 'The Olivetti Lettera 22'. Started in 1908 Olivetti is a company that makes typewriters. In 1949, Olivetti launched the 'Olivetti Lettera 22', a portable mechanical typewriter. It was a typewriter reasonably compact for its time, measuring 26 x 37 x 8 inches and weighing nearly four kilos. The typewriter could print in both black and red, something unique at the time. All three coins are presented in this attractive package. On the face of the coin, the Olivetti Lettera 22 is depicted, framed by a two-tone ribbon, which includes the name 'Lettera 22'. Around the outside the country name 'REPUBBLICA ITALIANA' (Italian Republic) is written. On the reverse of the coin the industrial design of the Olivetti is depicted, drawn by a pencil. At the top of the coin is the year of issue, 2020, with the Olivetti logo below. In the centre is the value indication of 5 Euro. Only 2,500 copies of these coins were made. The coins are presented in an attractive package.
