Italy 5 Euro 2019 Alps

Italy has issued this magnificent 5 Euro coin with the theme of the National Alps. The Alps are a beautiful mountain range in Europe that stretches from the French Mediterranean coast to Italy. This beautiful landscape spreads over no fewer than 8 countries. More than 12 million people live in the Alps! In the West of the Alps, the mountain peaks are the highest, with Mont Blanc at 4810 metres being the highest. In total there are 128 mountain peaks above 4000 metres! These mountain peaks are buried under a massive ice mass - the rise in the earth's temperature is expected to cause 90% of this ice to disappear by 2100. In the Alps there are so-called 'mountain huts' on every mountain. People usually start at the bottom of the valley and then brave the way up, a fantastic experience that requires the necessary experience. This coin shows that beautifully.
