Italy 5 Euro 2020 'Tiger'

Italy has issued a 5 Euro coin with the theme the 'Tiger' which is the first coin in a series of five. Tigers are the largest felines in the world and can grow to nearly four metres in length. Tigers live mainly in the forest and grassland, in the wild they are only found in Asia. Tigers always hunt alone and are not social animals, groups that are formed are always the cubs with their mother. Since 2015 tigers have been critically endangered and are less and less abundant, it is estimated that there are only about 3,000 tigers left in the wild. This 5 Euro coin is the first in a series of five, it is striking that all coins are coloured and luminescent. On the face of the coin a tiger is seen creeping forwards. Furthermore, the name TIGRE (tiger) is shown at the top, on the left is the denomination of 5 Euro, and at the bottom is the year of issue, 2020. On the reverse of the coin are a number of animals, namely an elephant, humpback whale, bald eagle, turtle, frog and a toucan. Furthermore, the country name 'Repubblica Italiana' (Republic of Italy) is displayed. The coin is presented in a beautiful collection folder, into which all five different coins can be stored.
