Italy 5 Euro 2021 'Polar Bear'

Italy has issued a 5 Euro coin with the theme of the 'Polar Bear'. This is the second coin in a series of five. Polar bears are yellow and white, not white bears as is often said! White bears are only found on the Princess Royal Island. Polar bears are only found in and around the North Pole. Polar bears mainly eat seals and sometimes swim tens of kilometres for this! In addition, a polar bear can stay under water for more than a minute and can reach speeds of more than 40 kilometres per hour in the water. They are also the heaviest bears in the world. Due to the global temperature rise the habitat of the polar bear is drastically reducing and the population is declining rapidly. This second 5 Euro coin is coloured and also glows in the dark. The face of the coin shows a mother polar bear with her two cubs on a small ice floe. Furthermore, the Italian name 'ORSO POLARE' (polar bear) is shown along with the value indication of 5 Euro and the year of issue, 2021. On the reverse of the coin are a number of animals, namely an elephant, humpback whale, sea eagle, turtle, frog and a toucan. The country name 'Repubblica Italiana' (Republic of Italy) is also displayed. The coin is presented in a beautiful collector's folder, in which all five different coins can be stored.
