Italy 5 Euro 2022 'Pirelli'. Italy has issued three different 5 Euro coins with Pirelli as its theme. Pirelli & Co. is a company based in the city of Milan and is mainly known for its manufacture of car tyres. The company has a market share of over 70%. Pirelli, which was founded in 1872 by Giovanni Battista Pirelli, supplies tyres to both car manufacturers and private individuals. Nearly 35,000 people work at Pirelli, which celebrates its 150th anniversary this year. Due to the 150th anniversary Italy has decided to issue three different 5 Euro coins, presented in one beautiful set. On all three coins are the years 1872 - 2022 and the country name REPUBBLICA ITALIANA (Italy). On the face of the first (uncoloured) coin is an image of an Alpha 40-60 HP. The second coin shows an advertisement from the year 1957 and the third coin shows a Pirelli tire under a stylized car. All three coins have the same reverse side which shows the first Pirelli factory in Via Ponte Seveso (Milan) from the year 1872. Furthermore, the value of 5 Euro is shown. The coins are mounted in a stylized tyre which can be attractively displayed. This set is supplied with a certificate of authenticity and is limited to 4,000 copies.
