Italy 5 Euro 2022 'Puglia - Primitivo and Orecchiette'. Italy is issuing a series of 5 Euro coins with the theme 'Italian food and wine'. This is the third coin in this series. Orecchiette (Italian for ears) is a pasta that is mainly eaten in Puglia, the southernmost region of Italy. Orecchiette is often eaten with broccoli and meatballs - Primitivo is a delicious red wine made from the Zinfandel grape. A lot of this delicious wine is made in Puglia! On the face of the coin is an image of the Orecchiette and Primitivo with an olive branch and a delicious piece of bread from Altamura in the background. Also shown is the value of 5 Euro and the year of issue, 2022. On the reverse of the coin is a Trulli, a characteristic house located in the heart of Puglia! An olive tree and a dolphin are also depicted. The coin is mounted in a beautiful Coincard which is then packed in an attractive blister!
