2023 Italy 5 Euro coin 'Veneto - Prosecco and Spider Crabs'. Italy is issuing a series of 5 Euro coins with the theme 'Italian food and wine'. This is the sixth coin in the series. Spider crabs are a real delicacy that people eat a lot of in Veneto. The Adriatic Sea provides a huge supply of fish and shellfish and a lot of Spider Crabs are caught and eaten here. Prosecco is made from the grape of the same name and is grown almost entirely in the province of Veneto. The grapes have been grown here for hundreds of years, the knowledge and experience are passed on from generation to generation. On the face of the coin is an image of a prepared Spider Crab with a glass of Prosecco next to it. Furthermore, one sees a gondola which, can of course, be found in the waters of Venice (the capital of the region of Veneto).
