Italy BU 2023

This is the 2023 BU set from Italy which contains 8 coins - i.e. the 1 Cent 2023 up to and including the normal 2 Euro 2023. The Italian 1 cent coin shows the castle del Monte which was built in the year 1240. The 2 cent coin shows the Mole Antonelliana , a well-known building located in Turin. The Colosseum, located in Rome, where many battles used to be held, is depicted on the 5 cent coin. A detail of the painting, the birth of Venus, painted by Sandro Botticelli, is shown on the 10 cent coin. On the 20 cent coin is a futuristic image, made by sculptor Umberto Boccioni. On the 50 cent coin is the bronze equestrian statue of Marcus Aurelius. This unique statue is located in the centre of Rome. The 1 Euro coin depicts the Vitruvian man, designed by Leonardo da Vinci. On the 2 Euro coin is a portrait of Dante Alighieri, drawn by Raphael. The edition of this set is 10,000 copies.
