Latvia 2 Euro 2019 The Emerging Sun Coloured

Latvia has issued a 2 Euro coin with the theme 'The Rising Sun'. The Rising Sun symbolizes the history of the Latvian coat of arms. The motif of the rising sun was very popular during the founding of the Latvian state on 18th November, 1918. The rising sun symbolized the new Land. On the coat of arms of Latvia the rising sun is one of the basic elements. The rising sun is a natural phenomenon which results in unique and breathtakingly beautiful images. The rising sun represents the Latvian population as an era of independence and strength and all the glory that belongs to it. On the face of the coin is a coloured image of a rising sun, the face of which is made of scales. Above the sun is the text 'Uzlecosa saule' (The rising sun). At the bottom of the coin is the country name Latvija (Latvia) and the year of issue 2019. The coloured 2 Euro coin is packed in a coin capsule.
