Product Description

'Puss in Boots' is a European fairy tale dating from the early 1500s! However, the best-known version was written by the French writer Charles Perrault. This fairy tale appeared almost 200 years later in the year 1697. The story is about the distribution of the "legacy" of a simple miller. Especially in the 17th century there were many millers. This miller had 3 sons and left behind a mill, a donkey and a cat. The oldest son inherited the mill, the 2nd son the donkey and the youngest son the cat. The cat turned out to be not only intelligent but also inventive and ambitious. The coin is based on the writing of Karlis Skalbe (1879 - 1945). The fairy tales all have the same content! On the face of the coin the cat, wearing a waistcoat, is depicted on the lap of the king. Their body language indicates that they are discussing something. The text 'Kenin, es nepieminu launu' (king, I did not hold a grudge) is also shown. On the reverse of the coin the cat, with a sack over his shoulder and holding a walking stick, is walking in front of the mill. The text 'Karlis Skalbe kakisa Dzirnavas' is also shown on the reverse of the coin. The coin has a very low circulation of 2,500 pieces and was completely sold out in no time. The coin is presented in a luxury package and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
