Lithuania 20 Euro 2019 Sapieha Castle

Lithuania has issued a splendid 20 Euro coin with the theme 'Castle Sapieha'. Sapieha Castle is a beautiful castle located in Krasicyzn, a city located in the southeast of the country near the border with Ukraine. The castle has a fantastic, beautiful garden where many trees are more than 150 years old! The castle was built in the 16th century by Stanislaw Krasicki. This beautiful castle is open to the public. On the face of the coin the castle is depicted together with its beautiful entrance. The branches represent the old oak trees that are located here. At the top of the coin is the Lithuanian text 'Sapiegu Rumai' (Sapieha Castle). On the reverse of the coin the chapel that is located in the castle is shown. This chapel has remained completely intact and unchanged through all those years. Lithuania's coat of arms is also shown on the coin. The country name LIETUVA (Lithuania) is printed at the top of the coin. The value indication of 20 Euro and the year of issue, 2019, are displayed at the bottom right of the coin. The coin is presented in an attractive cassette.
