2021 Luxembourg Gold 10 Euro coin 'Melusina'. Luxembourg has issued a Gold 10 Euro coin about the Mermaid called Melusina. The story (myth) of Melusina goes back to the year 962. Melusina married Count Siegfried but set one condition that every Saturday she wanted to be alone and have complete privacy. In the end Count Siegfried could not keep his promise and followed her on a Saturday. As Count Siegfried watched Melusina take a bath he saw that her bottom half was a fishtail. Melusina was so shocked when Count Siegfried saw her that she fled to the river called the Alzette, and the two lovers would never see each other again. The face of the coin shows Melusina made by the Luxembourg artist Serge Ecker. This artwork was created with a 3D printer! A bridge that crosses the river Alzette is also shown.
