Product Description

The 'Bistort (bistorta officinalis), also known as snake root, is a beautiful purple-pink plant that can reach a height of 25 to 95 cm. The flower has beautiful oval leaves that open into a straight stem, where the flowering stem is often 15 cm. The root of this flower is very similar to a snake! This protected plant species is often found in a wet area where they can also get shade. On the obverse of the coin a 'Bistort' is depicted together with a 'Blue Fire' butterfly. The Blue Fire Butterfly likes to visit the swampy grasslands of Luxembourg. Furthermore, the Latin name of the flower 'bistorta officinalis' is shown. The value indication of 5 Euro is also displayed. On the reverse of the coin Grand Duke Henri is portrayed looking to the right. Furthermore, the country name Letzebuerg and the year 2020 are shown vertically. The coin is presented in a beautiful luxury packaging in which the coin is described in more detail. The edition of this unique coin is only 3,000 copies!
