Luxembourg BU 2023 'Croatia'. Luxembourg has issued a BU set in honour of Croatia's accession to the European Union. Croatia has had the Euro coin as legal tender in the country since 1st January, 2023. From December 2022, the citizens of Croatia could buy the first Euro coins from Croatia to get acquainted with the Euro currency. On the 1, 2 & 5 Cent are the letters HR, written in the oldest Slavic script, called 'Glagotic' script. Nikola Tesla is depicted on the 10, 20 & 50 Cent coins. A marten is displayed on the 1 Euro coin, whilst the map of Croatia is shown on the 2 Euro coin. This set has an edition of only 1,000 copies!
