Luxemburg 2 Euro 2018 Constitution Silver-Plated

This is the special 2018 Luxembourg 2 euro "150 Year Constitution". About 150 years ago it was also a turbulent time in Europe. The Dutch parliament came into conflict with King William III and there was a discussion about Dutch Limburg and Luxembourg. The Luxembourg constitution of 1868 was adopted on 17 October 1868 and Limburg became a part of the Netherlands definitively. From that time it is still the fact that a Commissioner of the King in Limburg is a Governor. The Grand Duke of Luxembourg had a lot of power in accordance with this constitution. He could appoint the parliament and send it back, adopt and refuse laws. This resulted, in 2008, in a special situation regarding the Euthanasia arrangement in Luxembourg. To commemorate that the Luxembourg Constitution became exactly 150 years old in the year 2018, Luxembourg has issued a special 2 Euro coin. On the face of the coin, Grand Duke Henri is portrayed looking diagonally to the right. Furthermore, the years 1868 and 2018 are shown with the text "150 Ans Constitution Du Grand-Duc the Luxembourg" (150 years of the Constitution of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg). Furthermore, the cross-section of an opened book is depicted. It is noteworthy that the mint mark has changed with effect from the year 2018; the lion of Luxembourg is seen above the year 2018. The coin is heavily silver-plated and packed in a plastic coin capsule.
